This morning, Riverside Community Hospital unveiled a motorcycle memorial parking spot in honor of Riverside County Sheriff Deputy Timothy Corlew, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on January 8, 2025.

Deputy Corlew held a special place in the hearts of the Riverside Community Hospital Emergency Room team, first as an EMS partner and later as a Sheriff’s Deputy. To honor his memory, the Emergency Room team dedicated a memorial parking spot where he always parked his motorcycle while on hospital property.

Speakers at the unveiling included Peter Hemstead, chief executive officer, and Lacey Page, pre-hospital liaison nurse, at Riverside Community Hospital. “Tim meant so much to our community, not just as an officer, but as a certified EMT with a history at AMR,” said Lacey before the unveiling. “His dedication to service extended beyond the badge, and his impact reached far and wide. It’s our honor to create this memorial motorcycle parking spot here in our ambulance bay to remember Tim.”

Riverside County Sheriff Captain Justin Rowan of the Jurupa Valley Station also shared how this parking spot means a lot to the team and the impact this has on the station and whole department.

Deputy Corlew’s wife, Mercedes, and their children, joined Riverside Community Hospital for the unveiling along with Riverside County Sheriff deputies and representatives from AMR.

Riverside Community Hospital also provided a duplicate memorial parking sign to the Riverside County Sheriff Jurupa Valley Station to honor Deputy Corlew.
