11-story patient tower expansion project
Riverside Community Hospital is proud to announce the start of a transformative $912 million expansion project: an 11-story patient tower and parking garage to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Inland Empire and surrounding regions.
Overall site plan
- New Main Entrance off Brockton Avenue (currently the G Tower Entrance)
- New driveway to connect east to west on campus
- New covered Emergency Department Walk-in entry off Magnolia Avenue (near current Main Entrance)
- The ambulance entrance remains on 14th Street, separating walk-in and ambulance traffic for better patient and visitor experience
- Current physician parking by Main Entrance will be designated ER parking
The new 11-story 459,496-square-foot patient tower will include new:
- 18 labor and delivery rooms
- 42 postpartum rooms
- 10 antepartum rooms
- 3 OB Delivery & C-section OR suites
- 9 OB evaluation rooms
- Pharmacy
- Radiology
- 8-bed dialysis treatment center
- 220 medical surgical beds
- 54 intensive care beds
- Endoscopy
- Pre-admit testing
- 4 procedure rooms
- 6 pre-operation rooms
- 6 post-anesthesia care rooms
- Physician dining/physician lounge
- 3 levels of shell space for future patient rooms
New parking garage
- 593-space parking garage on the corner of 14th Street and Brockton Avenue
- 119 EV charging stations
- 118 physician parking spaces
- 19 ADA spaces
Construction timeline: Riverside Community Hospital Expansion Project
- 5-story parking garage: underway and projected to open November 2026
- Demolition of existing vintage parking garage: start December 2026
- 11-story patient tower construction: start December 2026 and finish December 2030
