Open-heart CABG procedure
We have earned a distinguished three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for excellent care and outcomes in isolated CABG procedures. CABG is an invasive, open-heart procedure performed when a severe blockage occurs in one of the coronary arteries. The procedure will take a blood vessel graft from a different area of the body and place it in the heart. The graft is then used to create a new pathway for blood to flow through that bypasses the blocked coronary artery.
Device implantation for atrial fibrillation
As a regional leader in cardiovascular care and a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, our hospital is proud to offer a new, minimally invasive procedure that can lower the risk of stroke and decrease your recovery time.
The left atrial appendage is a thin, small sac residing in the left side of the heart and has been linked as a source of stroke-causing blood clots. The left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) device can be inserted via a catheter to close off the left atrial appendage from the rest of the heart. In our procedure, we move the catheter through your blood vessels until your heart is reached and the device is implanted.
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
For qualifying individuals with severe aortic stenosis, we are excited to offer a nonsurgical treatment, called transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). TAVR allows you to undergo a valve replacement through a small incision in your skin.
TAVR may offer you several benefits, including:
- No need to stop the heart to perform the procedure
- Potential for better outcomes, including individuals who are unable to undergo open-heart surgery
- Shorter hospital stay and faster recovery time when compared to traditional surgical intervention

Following heart surgery, we will provide you and your family with a number of resources for recovery. After assessing your condition, our cardiac rehabilitation specialists can develop and monitor your personalized exercise routine and diet plan.
