Minimally invasive surgical services
We stay at the forefront of healthcare advancements by investing in the latest minimally invasive surgery systems.
Benefits of minimally invasive surgery
We are proud to be accredited by the Surgical Review Corporation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery. This accreditation recognizes our commitment and high standard of delivering safe, quality care. All surgeries are both individual- and procedure-specific.
Our minimally invasive tools help our surgeons perform procedures in delicate and hard-to-reach areas with great precision and range of motion. These advanced surgical systems mimic the movements of our surgeons' hands, while increasing their agility and improving accessibility.
We use surgical systems that are safe and effective, but minimally invasive surgery may not be appropriate for everyone. For these reasons, it's important to ask your doctor about all your treatment options and their risks and benefits. Our minimally invasive procedures can potentially offer:
- Decreased postsurgical complications
- Faster return to normal daily activities
- Less discomfort
- Minimal trauma to surrounding tissues
- Quicker recovery times
- Reduced scarring
- Shorter hospital stay
Types of minimally invasive surgery
3D visualization allows our surgeons to plan and personalize procedures for your unique anatomy and needs. We are proud to provide you and your family a range of minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Arthroscopy
A fiber-optic camera, called an arthroscope, may be used by your surgeon to view the inside your joints and determine the cause of discomfort, swelling or stiffness. Our surgeons may also use arthroscopy to treat conditions such as torn rotator cuffs, carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis.
Laparoscopy
Your surgeon may perform a procedure using laparoscopic technology if they are examining the abdominal or pelvic cavity. After making a small incision, we are able to insert a small camera, called a laparoscope, and exam organs or collect tissue for biopsy.
Robot-assisted surgery
All of our board-certified surgeons are trained and experienced with robot-assisted surgical systems. We use this technology to better access areas of your body that are difficult or impossible for surgeons to reach with their hands.
It’s important to understand that your surgery is performed by an expert surgeon, who guides the robotic arm. The robot-assisted technology does not perform surgery, make decisions on its own or move without your surgeon guiding it.

Bariatric surgery
Minimally invasive weight loss surgery, also known as bariatric surgery, allows us to provide weight loss solutions to individuals experiencing obesity and weight-related health conditions. With advanced technology, our surgeons can perform bariatric procedures with great accuracy and only a few small incisions.
Hysterectomy
We offer minimally invasive hysterectomies for a range of women’s uterine conditions. This technology provides our surgeons with excellent visualization of your anatomy, which is especially critical when working around delicate and confined structures, such as a woman's reproductive organs and bladder.
Transanal surgery
Traditional transanal surgery involves an incision made through the abdomen and usually requires cutting the entire rectum to retrieve the mass. With the conventional approach, there is also an increased risk of cancerous tissue being left behind. Most of these procedures are also followed by a colostomy.
Transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) allows our surgeons to remove large polyps and diseased tissue to treat conditions such as early-stage rectum cancer. Our advanced surgical system's 3D visualization allows for excellent maneuverability, precision and dexterity.
Prostatectomy
Minimally invasive prostatectomies are now the preferred treatment for early-stage prostate cancer. During this procedure, the surgeon removes the prostate with the aid of minimally invasive technology. Individuals treated with this procedure may be more likely to completely recover from prostate cancer with minimal long-term side effects.
Joint replacement
Each person can experience joint pain for different reasons. It’s important to talk to us about the reason for your knee or hip pain so we can understand the treatment options available to you. Pain from arthritis and joint degeneration can be constant or come and go, occur with movement or after a period of rest and be located in one spot or many parts of the body.
It is common to try medication or other conservative treatments to treat your knee or hip pain. If you haven’t experienced adequate relief with those treatment options, you may be a candidate for minimally invasive partial knee, total knee or total hip replacement.
Using 3D planning software, your surgeon can create a personalized joint replacement surgical model to assist them during the procedure. In the operating room, robot-assisted technology will help guide the arm within the predefined area during your partial or total joint replacement. In the operating room, your surgeon will follow your personalized surgical plan while preparing the bone for the implant.
