Riverside, Calif. — Riverside Community Hospital (RCH) received 85 Infant CPR Kits generously donated by Pavement Recycling Systems (PRS) through the PRS Holdings Foundation. The Foundation was created by the employee owners at PRS, a one hundred percent employee-owned company headquartered in Jurupa Valley. PRS employees elect to give a portion of their paycheck every week to fund causes that positively impact the Inland Empire community.

This year, the PRS Holdings Foundation worked with the American Heart Association to procure 85 Infant CPR kits and find a hospital to donate them to local families. “Once we selected which program to fund, the American Heart Association reached out to community partners to see which hospitals had a need for these kits,” said Emily Leyva, PRS holdings foundation administrator. “Out of the six local hospitals, our employee owners voted to support Riverside Community Hospital. RCH has been a key part in many of our employees’ lives, from delivering their babies to having loved ones going in for cancer treatment. Many of the PRS Holdings employees have a personal connection to this hospital.”

“Educating our NICU families on infant CPR is vital,” said Daniel Saesim, MD, neonatologist at Riverside Community Hospital. “In those critical moments after discharge, knowing how to respond can make all the difference. By having the opportunity to provide CPR kits to families, we’re not just giving parents a tool - we’re giving them confidence, preparedness and the power to save a life.”

The American Heart Association and PRS employee owners brought the donated Infant CPR kits to the hospital this week. Hospital administrators, NICU leadership and several nurses received the kits and shared their gratitude. “This donation is deeply appreciated by all of us, and we are honored to have been selected by the employees at PRS Holdings to receive these kits,” said Peter Hemstead, chief executive officer at Riverside Community Hospital. “This is a great example of community coming together to provide education and empowerment in critical moments.”
